Included with Seismic Shock, Seismic Verb is definitely NOT your average reverb! It combines unique algorithms with extreme compression techniques for awe-inspiring results. With a crazy range – from punchy overtones to massive detuned tails – it’s also the first reverb ever to have an Animate feature. When you need epic ambience, this is the one to reach for!

MINI-SLIDER

Controls the mix of the dry signal and the processed (wet) signal. The percentage indicated is the amount of the signal that is wet.

NOTE: The behavior of the MINI-SLIDER is dependent on the mode selected in the SMASH ROUTING menu on PAGE 2. When SMASH ROUTING is set to ‘Dry/Wet’ (which is the default setting), Seismic Verb’s compression effects are still applied to the signal when the MINI-SLIDER is fully to the left. When SMASH ROUTING is set to ‘Wet Max’ or ‘Wet Min’, there is no processing applied when the MINI-SLIDER is fully to the left.

PAGE ONE CONTROLS

  • [REVERB] TIME
Controls the reverb time. When MOD is set to Clang, TIME controls the delay feedback amount.
  • [REVERB] COLOR
This drop-down menu provides a range of tonal profiles that change EQ settings and frequency-specific decay times for the reverb.
  • [REVERB] STYLE
This drop-down menu provides a collection of algorithms, from heavily modulated reverbs to glitchy delays to pitch-shifted ambiences.
  • [REVERB] MOD
Modifies the effect in different ways depending on the STYLE menu selection.

If STYLE is set to Epic or Anthemic, MOD changes the amount of detuning modulation in the reverb algorithm.

If STYLE is set to Broken, MOD changes reverb diffusion characteristics for different kinds of metallic resonances.

If STYLE is set to Clang, MOD changes the delay time.

If STYLE is set to Optimus, MOD changes the amount of pitched delay modulation.

If STYLE is set to Octave, Fifth, or Minor, MOD adds more pitch-shifting.

  • ANIMATE
Controls the amount of Animation, which adds rhythmic tonal movement to the reverb tail.
  • SMASH
Controls the amount of compression, sustain, and timbre-shaping added.

PAGE TWO CONTROLS

  • [ANIMATE] RATE
Controls the rate of the Animation effect.
  • [ANIMATE] SHAPE
Controls the shape of the Animation effect.
  • [ANIMATE] TONE
Offsets the range of the Animation effect. Also brightens the overall tone of the reverb even if ANIMATE is not turned up.
  • [SMASH] TYPE
This drop-down menu has various presets for the tone-shaping characteristics of compression added by the SMASH knob. They range from being more neutral, to accentuating sub frequencies, to completely squashing high frequencies.
  • [SMASH] ROUTING
This menu controls where and how the SMASH compression is applied in the signal chain, which greatly impacts the sound and the behavior of the effect.

Dry/Wet: Both the Dry and the Wet signal are fed into compression together. In this ROUTING mode, Seismic Verb still functions as a compressor even if the MINI-SLIDER is at 0%.

Wet Max: Only the Wet signal is compressed, with the key input being taken from the Dry signal. The Dry signal is unaffected and can be mixed in with the MINI-SLIDER.

Wet Min: Only the Wet signal is compressed, with the key input being taken from the Dry signal but using different envelope settings that result in a much more pronounced ducking/swelling effect. The Dry signal is unaffected and can be mixed in with the MINI-SLIDER.

  • OUTPUT
    Adjusts the overall output.
