The Directory menu allows you to filter the list of sounds by libraries. These can be factory Omnisphere libraries, Satellites (Trilian and Keyscape), Sonic Extensions, Third-party, Mutations, Sharing, or your custom sounds, generally saved under User.
When browsing patches, by default, it is required to select a library (and Category) every time Omnisphere is instantiated. You’ll be surprised by how these two choices will guide you to find the sounds you are looking for quickly and intuitively.
To select a Directory, click on the Directory menu down arrow or name display to open it. Because the browsers are context-sensitive, the resulting options in other filters (Categories, Author, Mood, etc), will only show the available options for that library. For example, after selecting the “Analog Vibes” patch library, only the categories and tags used in “Analog Vibes” will be shown.
NOTE: Directories only show up if patches are detected in them. This means that Mutations, Sharing, or User will not appear right after a new installation.
