The Classic Tube 2-Band is modeled after the Pultec EQP-1®—the legendary tube equalizer used on countless recordings since its creation in 1951. Recognized for its incredible low end and smooth sound, it features a design that allows boosting and attenuating the same frequency band, creating unique frequency curves. Further enhanced with a “Heat” mode to add punch and an “Ultra” mode for higher fidelity, it brings the iconic Pultec® sound to Omnisphere.

PAGE ONE CONTROLS

  • [LOW] BOOST (Shelf)

Increases the amount of gain for the selected Low Frequency.
    Range: 0 dB ~ +18 dB
  • [LOW] ATTEN (Shelf)
Decreases the amount of gain for the selected Low Frequency.
    Range: 0 dB ~ –10.5 dB
  • [LOW] FREQ

Selects the Low Frequency to be boosted or attenuated.
    20, 30, 60, and 100 Hz
  • [HIGH] BOOST (Peak)

Increases the amount of gain for the specified by the [HIGH] FREQ menu,
    Range: 0 dB ~ +18 dB
  • [HIGH] ATTEN (Peak)
Decreases the amount of gain for the frequency specified by the [HF] ATTEN FREQ menu on Page 2.
    Range: 0 dB ~ –10 dB
  • [HIGH] FREQ

Selects the High Frequency to be boosted by the [HIGH] BOOST knob.

PAGE TWO CONTROLS

  • INPUT

Controls the input gain. At higher settings, harmonics are introduced by non-linear components of the model.
    Range: 0– 15 dB ~ +15 dB
  • HEAT / WARMTH
This control switches between two types of saturation.
  • [HF] BANDWIDTH
Controls the bandwidth or “Q” of the [HIGH] BOOST filter.
  • [HF] ATTEN FREQ (Shelf)
Selects the frequency to be attenuated by the [HIGH] ATTEN control on Page 1.
    5, 10, or 20 kHz
  • ULTRA / HQ
Engages internal oversampling for the effect when ULTRA is selected.
  • OUTPUT
    Controls the output gain.
    Range: 0– 15 dB ~ +15 dB
