MIDI Learn
In Digital Performer, you can set the Omnisphere FX Rack Plug-in to receive MIDI from your MIDI controller. The procedure is the same whether you are loading the Omnisphere FX Rack Plug-in as an insert on an audio or an instrument track. For this example, we will use an audio track.
First, select Project > Add Track > Stereo Audio Track from the menu bar to create an audio track, as shown below:

Navigate to the Mixing Board, then click on the insert tab.

Next a pop-up window will appear. Select Spectrasonics under the Manufacturer drop-down, and select FX-Omnisphere. Then click “Select” to add the Omnisphere FX Rack plug-in as an insert onto the audio track.

Next, select Project > Add Track > MIDI Track from the menu bar to create a MIDI track.

Next, from the menu bar, select Studio > Multi Record. This enables you to monitor both the MIDI and audio track simultaneously.

In the Track window, set the output of your MIDI track to “FX-Omnisphere” on the Audio Track insert you’ve added the Omnisphere FX rack too.

Select “Any” for the MIDI channel, or whichever specific MIDI channel on which your MIDI Controller is set to send MIDI.

Open the Omnisphere FX Rack plug-in, add an effect.

Right click on the parameter to which you would like to send MIDI, and select MIDI CC Learn (or MIDI Note Learn), then move the knob/fader (or press the button) on your MIDI controller.
