The RES control on the FILTER ZOOM page is identical to the RES knob on the LAYER pages. Resonance is also called “Q” or “Emphasis” in synthesizers, because it emphasizes the cutoff point of the Filter by narrowing or increasing the bandwidth. A broader Q emphasizes a wider frequency range and a narrower Q reduces the emphasized frequency range. Resonance can increase the loudness of the Filter, so its a good idea to use this control along with the Filter Gain, to avoid audio clipping.

From the pull-down menu next to the RES knob, you can select two modes:
Reso Full Range
Leaves the natural resonance response untouched.
Reso Scaling
Scales the resonance to create a smoother filter response and prevent resonant peaks.
