Magnetic Echo

Filled with analog character, Magnetic Echo is modeled after the Binson Echorec, widely used by Pink Floyd in the ’70s. Magnetic Echo includes unique features such as a continuous SPREAD control to dynamically offset the L/R delay times, and a Multihead mode for diffusion effects. It can create anything from overdriven regenerations and dark echo taps, to dense reverb-like delay clouds. Arguably the vibiest delay in Omnisphere!

• MINI-SLIDER
  Controls the mix of the dry signal and the processed signal. The percentage indicated is the amount of the signal that is processed.
  Range: 0 ~ 100%

PAGE ONE CONTROLS

• DRIVE
  Sets the amount tube saturation added to the Input signal.
  Range: +15 dB to –15 dB

• TONE
  Controls the amount of high frequency content in the wet signal.

  Range: –10.00 ~ 10.00

• TIME
  Sets the record head delay time.
  If the Sync button is engaged, the selectable delay times will be in BPM:
  Range: 1/1 ~ 1/16 T
  (D = dotted value and T = Triplet)

• SYNC
  Synchronizes the delay times with your host’s tempo.

• FEEDBACK
  Controls the amount of signal fed back into the unit for echo repeats.
  Range: 0.00% ~ 100.00%

• NOISE
  Controls the level of added electro-mechanical noise for realism.
  Range: 0.00% ~ 100.00%

PAGE TWO CONTROLS

• WOW
  Controls the amount of wow and flutter caused by the imperfect rotation speed of the magnetic disk.
  Range: –0.00% ~ 100.00%

• LO CUT (HPF)
  
Low frequencies are attenuated (cut) below the frequency set by this knob, allowing higher frequencies to pass.
  Range: OFF ~ 5 kHz

• STEREO
  Switches between Mono and Stereo output.

• SPREAD
  Offsets the delay time of the right channel based on the TIME parameter.
  Range: 0.50 ~ 2.00

• MULTIHEAD
  Adds density to the delay by engaging a series of 3 additional record heads.

• MASTER
  
Adjusts the output level.
  Range: –15 dB to +15 dB
