Far beyond a traditional dynamics processor, Omnisphere’s Multiband Compressor is a powerful sound-sculpting tool. With four assignable frequency bands, transform your basses into sub killers, add extra bite to synth sounds, or abuse it for radical sonic manipulations!

  • MINI-SLIDER
Controls the balance of the dry signal and the processed (compressed) signal. The percentage indicates the amount of the signal that is compressed.
    Range: 0 ~ 100%

PAGE ONE CONTROLS

  • INPUT GAIN
Controls the input level to the compressor.
Range: –inf dB to +9.54 dB
  • RATIO
The range of dynamic compression once the compressor engages.
    Range: 1.0 : 1 ~ 10.0 : 1
  • [LO] SUSTAIN
Controls both the threshold and output gain of the LO frequency band’s compression effect. Higher settings lower the threshold and make up more gain, while slowing the attack.
Range: 0 dB to 36 dB
  • [LO] LEVEL

A gain make-up stage that adjusts the LO frequency band’s output to compensate for compression level reduction.
Range: –24 dB to 0 dB
  • X-OVER FREQ (Between LO and LO MID)

Selects the frequency at which LO and LO MID intersect.
    Range: 20 Hz ~ 2 kHz
  • [LO MID] SUSTAIN
Controls both the threshold and output gain of the LO MID frequency band’s compression effect. Higher settings lower the threshold and make up more gain, while slowing the attack.
Range: 0 dB to 36 dB
  • [LO MID] LEVEL
A gain make-up stage that adjusts the LO MID frequency band’s output to compensate for compression level reduction.
Range: –24 dB to 0 dB

PAGE TWO CONTROLS

  • X-OVER FREQ (Between LO MID and MID)

Selects the frequency at which Lo Mid and Mid intersect.
    Range: 100 Hz ~ 10 kHz
  • [MID] SUSTAIN

Controls both the threshold and output gain of the MID frequency band’s compression effect. Higher settings lower the threshold and make up more gain, while slowing the attack.
Range: 0 dB to 36 dB
  • [MID] LEVEL
A gain make-up stage that adjusts the MID frequency band’s output to compensate for compression level reduction.
Range: –24 dB to 0 dB
  • X-OVER FREQ (Between MID and HIGH)

Selects the frequency at which Mid and High intersect.
    Range: 500 Hz ~ 18 kHz
  • [HIGH] SUSTAIN
Controls both the threshold and output gain of the HIGH frequency band’s compression effect. Higher settings lower the threshold and make up more gain, while slowing the attack.
Range: 0 dB to 36 dB
  • [HIGH] LEVEL
A gain make-up stage that adjusts the HIGH frequency band’s output to compensate for compression level reduction.
Range: –24 dB to 0 dB
  • GAIN
    Controls the overall output.
Range: –inf dB to +9.54 dB
