You can use Omnisphere’s FX rack in your DAW via Omnisphere FX — a separate, dedicated audio effects plug-in available in AU, VST, and AAX formats. Each instance of Omnisphere FX loads an FX Rack where you can load up to 4 FX units. With a library of hundreds of presets tailored for different instruments and musical contexts, it expands Omnisphere’s capabilities into an incredibly powerful real-time effects processor.

The signal flow of every FX Rack is in a series—feeding the audio from the top slot down. You can change the order of individual FX units by dragging them by the rack ears, just like in Omnisphere.
Gain and Mix Controls
The IN fader controls the input gain through the FX rack and is especially useful when using units that are sensitive to input level, such as compressors and distortion FX. The OUT fader controls the output gain from the FX rack.
The MIX knob controls the balance between the dry signal and the processed signal.
Presets
Omnisphere contains a library of hundreds of individual FX presets and FX Rack presets, providing a useful starting point for use with a variety of musical contexts. Any presets you create in Omnisphere FX will be available inside Omnisphere and vice-versa.
BYPASS
The BYPASS Button is located in the bottom right of the Omnisphere FX interface. This allows the audio signal to pass through the plug-in without any processing.
Utility Menu
The Utility Menu is located in the upper left-hand corner of the plug-in and gives you access to MIDI Learn and Automation assignments, Undo/Redo commands, and a link to this Reference Guide. It also lets you check for updates and display the current software version.
Resize Interface
The Omnisphere FX interface can be resized to accommodate different screen resolutions.
Choose your preferred size from the Magnify Window menu, next to the Utility Menu.
