Ideal for instantly adding pulse to any sound, Pulsar Split divides the input signal into two assignable frequency bands and applies an independent pulse to each. Dial in unique Rates, Shapes, and Depths on each band to create evolving textures, multiband tremolos, and reverse pulses.

PAGE ONE CONTROLS

  • MINI-SLIDER
Controls the balance of the dry signal and the processed signal. The percentage indicates the amount of the signal that is processed.
    Range: 0 ~ 100%
  • [LOW] RATE
This knob lets you choose the rate of the pulse applied to the low frequency band.
    Range: 32X ~ 1/96-note
  • [LOW] SHAPE
This drop-down menu lets you choose the shape of the pulse applied to the low frequency band.

    • Saw ↓ Sawtooth wave, starting at the beginning of the cycle.
    • Saw ↑ Sawtooth wave, starting in the middle of the cycle.
    • Ramp ↓ Reverse Sawtooth wave, starting at the beginning of the cycle.
    • Ramp ↑ Reverse Sawtooth wave, starting in the middle of the cycle.
    • Sine ↓ Sine wave, starting at the beginning of the cycle.
    • Sine ↑ Sine wave, starting in the middle of the cycle.
    • Tri ↓ Triangle wave, starting at the beginning of the cycle.
    • Tri ↑ Triangle wave, starting in the middle of the cycle.

  • [LOW] DEPTH
Controls the intensity of the pulsing effect that is applied to the low frequency band.
    Range: 0 ~ 100%
  • [HIGH] RATE
This knob lets you choose the rate of the pulse applied to the high frequency band.
    Range: 32X ~ 1/96-note
  • [HIGH] SHAPE
This drop-down menu lets you choose the shape of the pulse applied to the high frequency band.

  • [HIGH] DEPTH
Controls the intensity of the pulsing effect that is applied to the high frequency band.
    Range: 0 ~ 100%

PAGE TWO CONTROLS

  • INPUT
Controls the amount of signal applied to the effect and functions as a “trim” control.
Range: –inf dB ~ 9.54 dB
  • X-OVER
Selects the frequency at which the two bands are divided.
    Range: 80Hz ~ 8000Hz
  • [COMP] SUSTAIN
Controls both the threshold and output gain of the compression effect. Higher settings lower the threshold and make up more gain, while slowing the attack.
    Range: 0 ~ 36 dB
  • [COMP] RATIO
The range of dynamic compression once the compressor engages.
    Range: 1:1 ~ 10:1
  • SONG POS
Controls whether or not Pulsar Split is synced to host Song Position. When SONG POS is switched ON, the pulsing effect syncs to the Song Position of the host and does not reset based on note input. When SONG POS is switched OFF, the effect syncs to your host temp and functions in Legato Mode—the pulsing effect resets when you play a note, but does not reset on consecutive notes played on top of a held note, until the held note is released and a new note is played.
  • OUTPUT

    Controls the overall output.
Range: –inf dB ~ 9.54 dB
