Transform your audio into beams of sound! By combining delays with an inverse reverb, Refraction Delay can create anything from echo taps with a swelling aftermath to ethereal evolutions. Use the Inverse and Stretch controls to adjust the level and length of the “beams”, and the filter and Spread to shape the tone.

  • MINI-SLIDER
Controls the mix of the dry signal and the processed signal. The number indicated is the amount of the signal that is processed.
    Range: 0 ~ 100%

PAGE ONE CONTROLS

  • TIME
    Sets the delay time.
    Range: 0.001 sec ~ 5.000 sec
If the Sync button is engaged, the selectable delay times will be in BPM:
    Range: 1/16 ~ 2/1
    (D = dotted value and T = Triplet)

  • SYNC
Synchronizes the delay times with your host’s tempo.
  • FEEDBACK
Controls the amount of repetitions fed back into the unit for echo repeats.
This control is dependent on the DAMP settings on Page 2.
    Range: 0.00% ~ 100.00%
  • MOD
Adjusts the speed of a subtle time modulation.
    Range: 0.08 Hz ~ 8.80 Hz
  • INVERSE
Adds delays that are reversed copies of the original audio.
    Range: 0.00% ~ 100.00%
  • STRETCH
Adds length (time) to the inverted delays.
    Range: 0.10 ~ 1.50 seconds

PAGE TWO CONTROLS

  • LO CUT
Cuts low frequencies below a selectable point, allowing high frequencies to pass.
    Range: 30 Hz ~ 720 Hz
  • HI CUT
Cuts high frequencies above a selectable point, allowing low frequencies to pass.
    Range: 720 Hz ~ 18 kHz
  • DAMP

Use this control to filter out highs or lows in the delays. This can have a dramatic effect on the amount of apparent repeats set by the FEEDBACK control on Page 1.
-The DAMP knob controls LP/HP filters in the feedback path of the delay.
-The filters are placed in the feedback loop, so the amount of filtering/damping increases with each feedback repeat.
    Range:
    20 to 20k Hz Lowpass –100.00 ~ 0.00%
    20 to 2k Hz Highpass 0.00 ~ +100.00%
  • MODE
Selects the stereo operation of the delays.
    Center, Ping L, Pong R
  • SPREAD

Adjusts the stereo width of the sound by changing the amount of delay time offset between the left and right channels.
Range Left of Center Detent: Mono ~ 100% Stereo
Range Right of Center Detent: 1ms ~ 100ms Stereo
  • OUTPUT
    Adjusts the output level.
_Range: –inf dB to +9.54 dB _
