Search and Filters View

In this view, you can use Search and Attributes to further narrow your results.

Search

The Search field allows you to quickly locate specific sounds in the library by typing keywords. You can type instrument names (“guitar”), sound characteristics (“evolving”), or any specific attributes related to the sounds you are looking for. For example, typing “vinyl” will bring up sounds that are tagged or described as such.

The results of your search are listed here.

*If you are looking for sounds that use a specific Soundsource (e.g. “Dream Piano”), you can type it in the Search field to find them.

When anything is typed into the Search field, the pane pulses with a blue halo to let you know the search is being filtered. Click on the X on the right to clear the Search Field.

*You can use Sound Lock (the lock icon in the Mini-Browser Footer) to retain the text in the Search field as you try different libraries.

Attributes

In addition to using Search, there are three Attribute menus you can use to further refine and filter your results. The Attribute filtering is based on the tags that have been added to the sounds.

AUTHOR is the default topmost attribute and cannot be changed. Here, you can select the work of a specific sound designer or keep “All” selected.

The two Attribute positions below that are selectable by clicking on the Attribute name to reveal the menu of available options. Clicking on the Attribute Types in the other two panes reveals the list. The Attribute Types available for the library in which you are working will be displayed in bold.

NOTE: If Search or Attributes are filtering the results and you move away from the Search and Attributes View, the Search pane will pulse, indicating the results are still being filtered.
