Recreate the punchy and clear sound of the classic Mix Buss compressor from the SSL G Series® consoles, widely known as the “Glue.” Originally designed for full mixes, it preserves the natural transients while bringing cohesion to the rest of the track. Its envelope controls (especially its unique Auto Release), combined with a bass control and parallel compression, let you dial in the legendary SSL attitude in Omnisphere.

  • MINI-SLIDER
Controls the mix of the dry signal and the processed (compressed) signal. The percentage indicated is the amount of the signal that is compressed.
    Range: 0 ~ 100%

PAGE ONE CONTROLS

  • THRESHOLD

Sets the audio level above which the unit starts to compress the signal.
Range: +15 dB to –15 dB
  • RATIO

The range of dynamic compression once the compressor engages.
    Range: 0:1 ~ 1:1
  • ATTACK
Adjusts the reaction time of the compressor.
    Range: 100 microseconds ~ 30 milliseconds
  • RELEASE
Adjusts the amount of time until compression stops once the audio has dipped under the Threshold level.
    Range: 100 milliseconds ~ 1.2 seconds
  • BASS FILTER
At times, compressors can be overloaded by low frequencies. This control sets the frequency of a high pass filter which removes low frequencies from the signal the compressor is “hearing.” Useful to reduce pumping when the input signal is bass-heavy.
    Range: 30 Hz ~ 480 Hz
  • MAKEUP
A gain stage that adjusts the overall output to compensate for level reduction caused by compression.
    _Range: –15 dB ~ +15 dB

PAGE TWO CONTROLS

  • INPUT

Adjusts the input level
    Range: –15 dB to +15
  • MONO / STEREO SWITCH

Selects between Mono or Stereo output.
  • OUTPUT
    Adjusts the output level.
Range: –15 dB to +15 dB
