Tone, Effects, and Limiter

TONE

Using a dedicated Global Controls EQ near the end of the signal path of a Part (right before the Limiter, covered below), the Global TONE controls give you basic LOW, MID, and HIGH gain controls, useful to adjust the overall EQ of a Patch. Setting all three LOW, MID, and HIGH controls to their middle detent position disengages/bypasses the EQ effect.

LIMITER

Using a dedicated Global Controls LIMITER, this control gives you basic peak-limiting using an optical leveling amplifier placed at the end of the signal path of a Part (after the EQ described above, and before the Patch Gain). Moving the slider engages the LIMITER, and the furthest left position disengages/bypasses the effect.

EFFECTS

EFFECTS ON/OFF lets you quickly bypass all FX units (including TONE and LIMITER). This duplicates the Bypass switch that’s under the FX tab on the Layer Pages.
