Vintage Enhancer

Sweeten any sound while retaining its natural character. Modeling classic Dolby® tape-encoding processors originally designed to remove noise, this effect enhances any source without overproducing it. Featuring three different enhancement modes, you can compress the processed signal and blend it with the original to make it stand out in a mix.

CONTROLS

• DRY

  Adjusts the amount of unprocessed sound in the mixed output.
  Range: 0% Dry ~ 100% Dry

• WET

  Adjusts the amount of processed sound in the mixed output.
  _Range: 0% Wet ~ 100% Wet

• TYPE

  Selects the NR unit.
  “A-Type” is based on the standard NR card for the Dolby 361.
  “Vocal” is based on the Dolby 361 card that was designed for vocals, focusing on the mid and lower frequencies.
  “dbx 180” is based on the unit of the same name.

• COMP
  
Even though it was not intentional, the original units compressed the sound slightly. This control adjusts the amount of subtle compression, based on the input level.
  Range: 0% Comp ~ 100% Comp

• LEVEL
  
Adjusts the output level.
  
Range: –15 dB ~ +15 dB
