When using the Donner DMK-25 Pro to control Omnisphere, the knobs on the DMK-25 Pro are assigned to the following Omnisphere parameters:

Bank A:
Knob 1 (CC#30) – Global Controls Cutoff
Knob 2 (CC#31) – Global Controls Ambience Amount
Knob 3 (CC#32) – Global Controls Vibrato Depth
Knob 4 (CC#33) – Global Controls Glide

Setup

To control Omnisphere using the DMK-25 Pro, you’ll need to do the following:

  1. Connect the DMK-25 Pro to your computer via USB.
  2. Set up the DMK-25 Pro to control Omnisphere.
  3. Enable the DMK-25 Pro as a MIDI input device in the host software you’re using (DAW, Standalone, etc.).
  4. Activate the DMK-25 Pro Hardware Profile in Omnisphere 3 or later.

DMK-25 PRO SETUP

Omnisphere relies on factory default settings of the DMK-25 Pro for external control.

  • If you have not customized the MIDI CC#s of the knobs on the DMK-25 Pro then you can move on to the next steps under “HOST CONNECTION.”
  • If you have customized the knobs of your DMK-25 Pro, please connect your DMK-25 Pro to the Donnar Control application and reset the knobs to match the MIDI CC#s listed at the top of the page.

NOTE: Omnisphere’s parameters are assigned to Bank A of the knobs on the DMK-25 Pro. You can make sure that Bank A is activated by pressing the [K Bank] button until it turns red (red indicates that the knobs are currently set to Bank A).

HOST CONNECTION

  • Open your host (DAW, Standalone, etc.) and make sure the DMK-25 Pro is enabled as a MIDI input device.
  • OMNISPHERE SETUP
  • Open Omnisphere and from the header, select the HW menu button.
  • From the drop-down menu, select “Donner > Donner DMK-25 Pro” to activate the DMK-25 Pro Hardware Profile.

TROUBLESHOOTING

Not working? Here are some things to try:

  • Is your DAW receiving MIDI from the DMK-25 Pro?
  • Make sure your DAW is configured to correctly route the MIDI output of the DMK-25 Pro to the MIDI channel assigned to the desired part in Omnisphere.
  • If you are using the Omnisphere standalone host, make sure the MIDI output channel of the DMK-25 Pro matches the MIDI channel of the Omnisphere Part you want to control.
  • Are the knobs on the DMK-25 Pro sending the correct MIDI CC#s used to control Omnisphere? A simple way to check this is by using MIDI Monitor by Snoize or recording knob movement in your DAW. See the list at the top of the page for the correct MIDI CC#s.
