Setup
To control Omnisphere using the Hydrasynth, you’ll need to do the following:
- Using a USB cable, connect the Hydrasynth to your computer.
- Set up the front panel controls to send MIDI CCs.
- Enable “Hydrasynth” as a MIDI input device to Omnisphere in the host software you’re using (DAW, Standalone, etc.).
- Activate the ASM Hydrasynth Hardware Profile in Omnisphere 3 or later.
MIDI OUTPUT SETUP
This profile responds to the MIDI CC messages sent by the Hydrasynth’s Master Controls. To ensure these controls are sending the appropriate messages, follow these steps:
- On the Hydrsaynth, go to the System Setup menu,
- Navigate to Parameter Transmit, and set it to transmit CC messages.
HOST CONNECTION
Open your host (DAW, Standalone, etc.) and make sure the Hydrasynth is enabled as a MIDI input device.

Troubleshooting
Not working? Here are some things to try:
- Is your DAW receiving MIDI from the Hydrasynth?
- If you are using the Omnisphere standalone host, make sure the MIDI output channel of the Hydrasynth matches the MIDI channel of the Omnisphere part you want to control.
- Make sure your DAW is configured to correctly route the MIDI output of the Hydrasynth to the MIDI channel assigned to the desired Part in Omnisphere.
