Setup
To control Omnisphere using the Keystation Pro 88, you’ll need to do the following:
- Connect the Keystation Pro 88 to your computer via USB.
- Set up the Keystation Pro 88 to control Omnisphere.
- Enable the Keystation Pro 88 as a MIDI input device in the host software you’re using (DAW, Standalone, etc.).
- Activate the Keystation Pro 88 Hardware Profile in Omnisphere 3 or later.
Keystation Pro 88 SETUP
Omnisphere relies on the default preset named “01 GM Preset” on the Keystation Pro 88 for external control.
- This Preset is typically already active when the unit is turned on, you can confirm that the “GM Preset” is loaded if “GM Preset” is displayed in the top left corner of the LCD screen.
- If another Preset is loaded, press the [RECALL] button then press the [1] numerical button.
HOST CONNECTION
- Open your host (DAW, Standalone, etc.) and make sure the Keystation Pro 88 is enabled as a MIDI input device.
OMNISPHERE SETUP
- Open Omnisphere and from the header, select the HW menu button.
- From the drop-down menu, select “M-Audio > M-Audio Keystation Pro 88” to activate the Keystation Pro 88 hardware profile.

TROUBLESHOOTING
Not working? Here are some things to try:
- Is your DAW receiving MIDI from the Keystation Pro 88?
- Make sure your DAW is configured to correctly route the MIDI output of the Keystation Pro 88 to the MIDI channel assigned to the desired part in Omnisphere.
- If you are using the Omnisphere standalone host, make sure the MIDI output channel of the Keystation Pro 88 matches the MIDI channel of the Omnisphere Part you want to control.
- Are the knobs and sliders on the Keystation Pro 88 sending the correct MIDI CC messages to control Omnisphere? A simple way to check this is by using MIDI Monitor by Snoize or recording knob movement in your DAW.
NOTE: The Enigma editor is no longer supported or provided by M-Audio. If you don’t have aCC#ess to the Enigma editor, an alternative is to factory reset the Keystation Pro 88. However, doing so will erase all user saved presets on the Axiom. If you’d like to continue with a factory reset, please turn OFF/ unplug the Keystation Pro 88 then hold down the Patch [Up] and Patch [Down] buttons at the same time while turning the Axiom ON.
