
Setup
To control Omnisphere using the Moog Messenger you’ll need to do the following:
- Using a USB cable, connect the Messenger to your computer.
- Download and install the latest Moog Messenger firmware from the Moog website here.
- Enable the Messenger as a MIDI input device to Omnisphere in the host software you’re using (DAW, Standalone, etc.).
- Activate the Messenger Hardware Profile in Omnisphere 3 or later.
HOST CONNECTION
Open your host (DAW, Standalone, etc.) and make sure the Moog Messenger is enabled as a MIDI input device.

OMNISPHERE SETUP
Open Omnisphere and from the header, select the HW menu button:

From the drop-down menu, select “Moog>Moog Messenger” to activate that hardware profile.

Profile Notes
- The OSC2 -> CUTOFF knob is assigned to Omnisphere’s Filter Variant.
- The envelope MULTI-TRIG button is assigned to the Sync button in Omnisphere’s Amp and Filter envelopes.
Unassigned Controls
The following Moog Messenger controls have no effect on Omnisphere:
- SETTINGS
- BANK
- PATCH
- SAVE
- PANEL
Troubleshooting
Not working? Here are some things to try:
- Is your DAW receiving MIDI from the Messenger?
- If you are using the Omnisphere standalone host, make sure the MIDI output channel of the Messenger matches the MIDI channel of the Omnisphere Part you want to control.
- Make sure your DAW is configured to correctly route the MIDI output of the Messenger to the MIDI channel assigned to the desired Part in Omnisphere.
