Setup

To control Omnisphere using the Moog Muse you’ll need to do the following:

  • Using a USB cable, connect the Muse to your computer.
  • Download and install the latest Moog Muse firmware from the Moog website here.
  • Enable the Muse as a MIDI input device to Omnisphere in the host software you’re using (DAW, Standalone, etc.).
  • Activate the Muse Hardware Profile in Omnisphere 3 or later.

HOST CONNECTION

Open your host (DAW, Standalone, etc.) and make sure the Moog Muse is enabled as a MIDI input device.

OMNISPHERE SETUP

Open Omnisphere and from the header, select the HW menu button:

From the drop-down menu, select “Moog>Moog Muse” to activate that hardware profile.


Profile Notes

  • FILTER 1 modulations (KB TRACKING, ENVELOPE AMOUNT, and MODULATION OSCILLATOR) are monophonic.
  • MODULATION OSCILLATOR KB RESET controls Omnisphere’s LFO 6 Polyphony.
  • MODULATION OSCILLATOR AUDIO controls LFO 6 Sync.

Unassigned Controls

The following Moog Muse controls have no effect on Omnisphere:

  • Main Output
  • Mute
  • Headphones
  • Assign buttons
  • Assignable controllers
  • Pitch LFO KB Reset
  • Pitch LFO Envelope
  • Chords
  • Delay Timbre A
  • Delay Timbre B

Troubleshooting

Not working? Here are some things to try: 

  • Is your DAW receiving MIDI from the Muse?
  • If you are using the Omnisphere standalone host, make sure the MIDI output channel of the Muse matches the MIDI channel of the Omnisphere Part you want to control.
  • Make sure your DAW is configured to correctly route the MIDI output of the Muse to the MIDI channel assigned to the desired Part in Omnisphere.
