Setup
To control Omnisphere using the NAUTILUS, you’ll need to do the following:
- Connect the NAUTILUS to your computer via USB.
- Set up the NAUTILUS to control Omnisphere.
- Download and install the Korg USB-MIDI Driver.
- Enable the NAUTILUS as a MIDI input device in the host software you’re using (DAW, Standalone, etc.).
- Activate the NAUTILUS Hardware Profile in Omnisphere 3 or later.
NAUTILUS SETUP
Omnisphere relies on the default settings for the Realtime Control knobs on the NAUTILUS.
First, let’s make sure the knobs are enabled to send MIDI CC messages out of the NAUTILUS:

- Press the [GLOBAL] button and navigate to the “MIDI” page.
- Make sure “Enable Control Change” is checked in the “MIDI Filter” section.
Next, you can use any Program/ Track in on the NAUTILUS while in “COMBI” mode to control Omnisphere. Here’s how to set that up:
- Load any COMBI that you’d like to use with Omnisphere.
- Make sure you’re on the “Mixer” page and select the Track you’d like to dedicate to Omnisphere.
- Change the Track Status from “INT” to “EXT” (whenever this track is selected, MIDI messages will only be sent out of the NAUTILUS to your computer).
Lastly, make sure the knobs are set to “Sound” Mode by pressing the Select button (located near knob #1) until the LED light next to “Sound” is lit up.

USB DRIVER
Korg devices require a USB-MIDI Driver when connecting to any Windows operating systems or to Mac OS 10.10 through 10.14.
- You can check to see if the necessary USB driver has already been installed by opening up the Omnisphere Standalone (or your preferred DAW) and verify the NAUTILUS is on your list of MIDI inputs.
- If your NAUTILUS is not on your list of MIDI inputs, access the Korg website to download and install the Korg USB-MIDI Driver.
HOST CONNECTION
Open your host (DAW, Standalone, etc.) and make sure the NAUTILUS is enabled as a MIDI input device.
OMNISPHERE SETUP
- Open Omnisphere and from the header, select the HW menu button.
- From the drop-down menu, select “Korg > Korg NAUTILUS” to activate the NAUTILUS hardware profile.

TROUBLESHOOTING
Not working? Here are some things to try:
- Is your DAW receiving MIDI from the NAUTILUS?
- Make sure your DAW is configured to correctly route the MIDI output of the NAUTILUS to the MIDI channel assigned to the desired part in Omnisphere.
- If you are using the Omnisphere standalone host, make sure the MIDI output channel on the NAUTILUS matches the MIDI channel of the Omnisphere Part you want to control.
- Are the NAUTILUS “User” knobs sending the default MIDI CC messages? You can check this by selecting the [PROG] on the NAUTILUS, select the “P1: Basic/ Controllers – Controllers Setup” page and check the numbers listed for “Knob1-B” through “Knob4-B.” The MIDI CCs for each knob are listed at the top of the page.
