Setup
To control Omnisphere using the NTK-37, you’ll need to do the following:
- Connect the NTK-37 to your computer via USB.
- Set up the NTK-37 to control Omnisphere.
- Enable the NTK-37 as a MIDI input device in the host software you’re using (DAW, Standalone, etc.).
- Activate the NTK-37 Hardware Profile in Omnisphere 3 or later.
NTK-37 SETUP
Omnisphere relies on the factory default settings of a Scene on the NTK-37 while in MIDI Mode for external control.
Here’s how to set this up:
- First, enable MIDI Mode by pressing the [MIDI] button on the NTK-37.
Next, you’ll need to load a Scene:
- If you haven’t customized any Scene on the NTK-37, then you can move on to next steps under “HOST CONNECTION.”
- If you have customized one of the 16 Scenes on the NTK-37, you can simply load an unused Scene that has not been customized by long-pressing the [MIDI] button to enter the “Scene” settings, then use the 5-way master encoder to select the unused Scene.
- If you have customized all 16 Scenes then you’ll need to use NUX’s NTKEditor to reset a Scene back the factory default settings and then send that Scene to the NTK-37. See the list at the top of the page for the correct MIDI CC#s.
HOST CONNECTION
- Open your host (DAW, Standalone, etc.) and make sure the NTK-37 is enabled as a MIDI input device.
OMNISPHERE SETUP
- Open Omnisphere and from the header, select the HW menu button.
- From the drop-down menu, select “NUX > NUX NTK-37” to activate the NTK-37 hardware profile.

TROUBLESHOOTING
Not working? Here are some things to try:
- Is your DAW receiving MIDI from the NTK-37?
- Make sure your DAW is configured to correctly route the MIDI output of the NTK-37 to the MIDI channel assigned to the desired part in Omnisphere.
- If you are using the Omnisphere standalone host, make sure the MIDI output channel of the NTK-37 matches the MIDI channel of the Omnisphere Part you want to control.
