OMNISPHERE SETUP
Open Omnisphere and from the header, select the HW menu button:

From the drop-down menu, select “Moog>Moog One” to activate that hardware profile.

Profile Notes
In addition to being a great synth, the Moog One is a good controller for Omnisphere. In designing this hardware profile, we aimed to strike a balance between staying faithful to the original design of the Moog One and using its panel creatively to maximize control over Omnisphere—especially as a workaround for the many controls that do not transmit MIDI data. Below are a few assignments worth noting:
- CUTOFF MODULATION FM AMOUNT controls Filter Saturation.
- VCA LEVEL controls Tube Overdrive.
- HEADPHONE controls Global Ambience Amount.
- FILTER 1 modulations (EG AMT and LFO2 AMT) are monophonic.
- RM MOD LADDER ON/OFF is assigned to switch between “Normal” and “Boost” in Omnisphere’s Ring Modulation page.
- RM MOD SVF ON/OFF is assigned to switch between “Pre Filter” and “Post Filter” in Omnisphere’s Ring Modulation page.
Unassigned Controls
The following Moog One controls have no effect on Omnisphere:
- Modulation Matrix
- Modulation Destination Buttons
- FX Section
- Glide On
- X/Y Hold
- Chord On
- Chord Learn
- Hold
- Filter Envelope Multi Trig
- Filter Envelope Latch
- Amp Envelope Multi Trig
- Amp Envelope Latch
- Modulation Envelope Multi Trig
- Modulation Envelope Latch
Troubleshooting
Not working? Here are some things to try:
- Is your DAW receiving MIDI from the Moog One?
- If you are using the Omnisphere standalone host, make sure the MIDI output channel of the Moog One matches the MIDI channel of the Omnisphere Part you want to control.
- Make sure your DAW is configured to correctly route the MIDI output of the Moog One to the MIDI channel assigned to the desired Part in Omnisphere.
