
When using the M-Audio Oxygen 25 mk5 to control Omnisphere, the knobs on the Oxygen 25 mk5 are assigned to the following Omnisphere parameters:
- Knob 1 (cc44) – Global Controls Cutoff
- Knob 2 (cc45) – Global Controls Resonance
- Knob 3 (cc46) – Global Controls Filter Envelope Amount
- Knob 4 (cc47) – Global Controls Vibrato Depth
- Knob 5 (cc62) – Global Controls Ambience Amount
- Knob 6 (cc63) – Global Controls Ambience Length
- Knob 7 (cc75) – Global Controls Unison
- Knob 8 (cc76) – Global Controls Glide
Setup
To control Omnisphere using the Oxygen 25 mk5, you’ll need to do the following:
- Connect the Oxygen 25 mk5 to your computer via USB.
- Set up the Oxygen 25 mk5 to control Omnisphere.
- Enable the Oxygen 25 mk5 as a MIDI input device in the host software you’re using (DAW, Standalone, etc.).
- Activate the Oxygen 25 mk5 Hardware Profile in Omnisphere 3 or later.
OXYGEN 25 MK5 SETUP
Omnisphere relies on the factory default settings of Preset 01 while in Preset Mode on the Oxygen 25 mk5 for external control.
- First, activate Preset mode by pressing the [DAW/ PRESET] button until the [DAW/ PRESET] button is dark / dimmed – this indicates that the Oxygen 25 is in Preset mode.
- Once entering Preset Mode, Preset 01 should automatically load. If needed, you can activate Preset 01 by pressing the [ < ] or [ > ] buttons to scroll through the various presets until you see Preset 01 displayed.
HOST CONNECTION
- Open your host (DAW, Standalone, etc.) and make sure the Oxygen 25 mk5 is enabled as a MIDI input device.
OMNISPHERE SETUP
- Open Omnisphere and from the header, select the HW menu button.
- From the drop-down menu, select “M-Audio > M-Audio Oxygen 25 mk5” to activate the Oxygen 25 mk5 hardware profile.

TROUBLESHOOTING
Not working? Here are some things to try:
- Is your DAW receiving MIDI from the Oxygen 25 mk5?
- Make sure your DAW is configured to correctly route the MIDI output of the Oxygen 25 mk5 to the MIDI channel assigned to the desired part in Omnisphere.
- If you are using the Omnisphere standalone host, make sure the MIDI output channel of the Oxygen 25 mk5 matches the MIDI channel of the Omnisphere Part you want to control.
- Are the knobs on the Oxygen 25 mk5 sending the correct MIDI CC messages? A simple way to check this is by using MIDI Monitor by Snoize or recording knob movement in your DAW.
