Setup
To control Omnisphere using the Oxygen Pro Mini, you’ll need to do the following:
- Connect the Oxygen Pro Mini to your computer via USB.
- Set up the Oxygen Pro Mini to control Omnisphere.
- Enable the Oxygen Pro Mini as a MIDI input device in the host software you’re using (DAW, Standalone, etc.).
- Activate the Oxygen Pro Mini Hardware Profile in Omnisphere 3 or later.
OXYGEN PRO MINI SETUP
Omnisphere relies on the factory default settings of Preset 12 while in Preset Mode on the Oxygen Pro Mini for external control.
- Activate Preset mode by pressing the [DAW/ PRESET] button until the [DAW/ PRESET] button is dark / dimmed — this indicates that the Oxygen 25 is in Preset mode.
- Lastly, activate Preset 12 by using the scroll encoder to scroll through the various presets until you see Preset 12 displayed.
HOST CONNECTION
- Open your host (DAW, Standalone, etc.) and make sure the Oxygen Pro Mini is enabled as a MIDI input device.
OMNISPHERE SETUP
- Open Omnisphere and from the header, select the HW menu button.
- From the drop-down menu, select “M-Audio > M-Audio Oxygen Pro Mini” to activate the Oxygen Pro Mini hardware profile.

- Omnisphere’s parameters are assigned to both Banks of knobs on the Oxygen Pro Mini. Use the [BANK > ] and [BANK < ] buttons to toggle between both banks of knobs on the Oxygen Pro Mini.
TROUBLESHOOTING
Not working? Here are some things to try:
- Is your DAW receiving MIDI from the Oxygen Pro Mini?
- Make sure your DAW is configured to correctly route the MIDI output of the Oxygen Pro Mini to the MIDI channel assigned to the desired part in Omnisphere.
- If you are using the Omnisphere standalone host, make sure the MIDI output channel of the Oxygen Pro Mini matches the MIDI channel of the Omnisphere Part you want to control.
- Are the knobs on the Oxygen Pro Mini sending the correct MIDI CC messages? A simple way to check this is by using MIDI Monitor by Snoize or go into Edit mode on the Oxygen Pro Mini by holding [SHIFT] and press the [DAW/ PRESET] button and then checking the MIDI CC assignments for each knob.
