Setup

To control Omnisphere using the UDO Super 8, you’ll need to do the following:

  • Connect the Super 8 to your computer via USB.
  • Set up the Super 8’s front panel controls to send MIDI CCs.
  • Activate the Super 8 Hardware Profile in Omnisphere 3 or later.

MIDI OUTPUT SETUP

  • Press the SHIFT button.
  • Press the TX/RX E button, which is found on the left side of the control panel, near the SHIFT button.
  • With the TX/RX E button lit, press patch button 1. The LED for patch button 1 should light up solidly, indicating that the Super 6 is set to transmit standard MIDI CC messages.
  • Press SHIFT again to exit the Global Settings menu.

HOST CONNECTION

Open your host (DAW, Standalone, etc.) and make sure the Soundforce UDO Super 8 is enabled as a MIDI input device.

Not working? Here are some things to try:

  • Is your host receiving MIDI from the UDO Super 8?
  • Make sure your DAW is configured to correctly route the MIDI output of the UDO Super 8 to the MIDI channel assigned to the desired Part in Omnisphere.
