
Setup
To control Omnisphere using the UDO Super 8, you’ll need to do the following:
- Connect the Super 8 to your computer via USB.
- Set up the Super 8’s front panel controls to send MIDI CCs.
- Activate the Super 8 Hardware Profile in Omnisphere 3 or later.
MIDI OUTPUT SETUP
- Press the SHIFT button.
- Press the TX/RX E button, which is found on the left side of the control panel, near the SHIFT button.
- With the TX/RX E button lit, press patch button 1. The LED for patch button 1 should light up solidly, indicating that the Super 6 is set to transmit standard MIDI CC messages.
- Press SHIFT again to exit the Global Settings menu.
HOST CONNECTION
Open your host (DAW, Standalone, etc.) and make sure the Soundforce UDO Super 8 is enabled as a MIDI input device.

OMNISPHERE SETUP
Open Omnisphere and from the header, select the HW menu button:

From the drop-down menu, select “UDO > UDO Super 8” to activate that hardware profile.

Profile Notes
- DELAY SEND is assigned to Global Ambience Amount.
- DELAY FEEDBACK is assigned to Global Ambience Length.
- DELAY TIME is assigned to Global Limiter.
- LFO1 LR PHASE assigned to the phase start of LFO1 in Omnisphere.
Unassigned Controls
The following UDO Super 8 controls have no effect on Omnisphere:
- Master Volume
- Tempo
- Lower Detune
- Init Patch Manual Lower
- Init Patch Manual Upper
- Single
- Dual Split
- Sequencer
- Mod Matrix
- Perf
- Wave AB
Troubleshooting
Not working? Here are some things to try:
- Is your host receiving MIDI from the UDO Super 8?
- Make sure your DAW is configured to correctly route the MIDI output of the UDO Super 8 to the MIDI channel assigned to the desired Part in Omnisphere.
