
Setup
To control Omnisphere using the Oberheim TEO-5, you’ll need to do the following:
- Using a USB cable, connect the TEO-5 to your computer.
- Set up the front panel to send NRPNs.
- Enable “TEO-5” as a MIDI input device to Omnisphere in the host software you’re using (DAW, Standalone, etc.).
- Activate the TEO-5 Hardware Profile in Omnisphere 3 or later.
MIDI OUTPUT SETUP
- Press the GLOBAL button to enter the Global menu.
- Use the SELECT knob to navigate to parameter “MIDI Param Send”.
- Use the VALUE knob to change the setting to NRPN.
HOST CONNECTION
Open your host (DAW, Standalone, etc.) and make sure the Oberheim TEO-5 is enabled as a MIDI input device.

OMNISPHERE SETUP
Open Omnisphere and from the header, select the HW menu button:

From the drop-down menu, select “Oberheim>Oberheim TEO” to activate that Hardware Profile.

Profile Notes
- ENV 1 is assigned to Omnisphere’s Global Filter Envelope
- ENV 2 is assigned to Omnisphere’s Global Amp Envelope
Unassigned Controls
The following Oberheim TEO-5 controls have no effect on Omnisphere:
- ENV 1/2 Toggle button
Troubleshooting
Not working? Here are some things to try:
- Is your DAW receiving MIDI from the Oberheim TEO-5?
- If you are using the Omnisphere standalone host, make sure the MIDI output channel of the Oberheim TEO-5 matches the MIDI channel of the Omnisphere Part you want to control.
- Make sure your DAW is configured to correctly route the MIDI output of the Oberheim TEO-5 to the MIDI channel assigned to the desired Part in Omnisphere.
- Are you using a USB hub? Try connecting your Oberheim TEO-5 or MIDI Interface directly to your computer.
