Setup

To control Omnisphere using the Factory, you’ll need to do the following:

  1. Connect the Factory to your computer via USB.
  2. Setup the Factory to control Omnisphere.
  3. Enable the Factory as a MIDI input device in the host software you’re using (DAW, Standalone, etc.).
  4. Activate the Factory Hardware Profile in Omnisphere 3 or later.

THE FACTORY SETUP

Omnisphere relies on the default settings of the Factory for external controls.

  • If you have customized the knobs and sliders on the Factory, please connect the Factory to Arturia’s MIDI Control Center application and return the knobs and sliders to their default settings. See the list above for the correct MIDI CC numbers.

HOST CONNECTION

  • Open your host (DAW, Standalone, etc.) and make sure the Factory is enabled as a MIDI input device.

OMNISPHERE SETUP

  • Open Omnisphere and from the header, select the HW menu button.
  • From the drop-down menu, select “Arturia > Arturia Factory” to activate the Factory Hardware Profile.

TROUBLESHOOTING

Not working? Here are some things to try:

  • Is your DAW receiving MIDI from the Factory?
  • Make sure your DAW is configured to correctly route the MIDI output of the Factory to the MIDI channel assigned to the desired part in Omnisphere.
  • If you are using the Omnisphere standalone host, make sure the MIDI output channel of the Factory matches the MIDI channel of the Omnisphere Part you want to control.
  • Are the knobs and faders on the Factory sending the correct MIDI CC#s used to control Omnisphere? You can check this by reviewing the Settings on your Factory or connecting your Factory to Arturia’s MIDI Control Center application and review your User Preset there. See the list at the top of the page for the correct MIDI CC numbers.
