Setup
To control Omnisphere using the Trigger Finger, you’ll need to do the following:
- Connect the Trigger Finger to your computer via USB.
- Set up the Trigger Finger to control Omnisphere.
- Enable the Trigger Finger as a MIDI input device in the host software you’re using (DAW, Standalone, etc.).
- Activate the Trigger Finger Hardware Profile in Omnisphere 3 or later.
TRIGGER FINGER SETUP
Omnisphere relies on the factory default settings of Preset 16 on the Trigger Finger for external control.
- You can quickly activate Preset 16 by pressing the [Memory Recall] button on the Trigger Finger and then press Pad 16.
HOST CONNECTION
- Open your host (DAW, Standalone, etc.) and make sure the Trigger Finger is enabled as a MIDI input device.
OMNISPHERE SETUP
- Open Omnisphere and from the header, select the HW menu button.
- From the drop-down menu, select “M-Audio > M-Audio Trigger Finger” to activate the Trigger Finger hardware profile.

TROUBLESHOOTING
Not working? Here are some things to try:
- Is your DAW receiving MIDI from the Trigger Finger?
- Is your host not seeing the Trigger Finger as a MIDI input device? You may need to try connecting your Trigger Finger to your MIDI interface instead of using USB.
- Make sure your DAW is configured to correctly route the MIDI output of the Trigger Finger to the MIDI channel assigned to the desired part in Omnisphere.
- If you are using the Omnisphere standalone host, make sure the MIDI output channel of the Trigger Finger matches the MIDI channel of the Omnisphere Part you want to control.
- Are the knobs on the Trigger Finger sending the correct MIDI CC messages?
NOTE: M-Audio’s Enigma editor application is no longer supported on current operating systems. You’ll need to use an older computer in order to use the editor app.
