When using the Korg Triton to control Omnisphere, the following knobs on the Triton are assigned to the following Omnisphere parameters:

Bank A:

  • Knob 1 (CC#74) – Global Controls Cutoff
  • Knob 2 (CC#71) – Global Controls Resonance
  • Knob 3 (CC#79) – Global Controls Filter Envelope Amount
  • Knob 4 (CC#72) – Global Controls Amp and Filter Envelope Release

Setup

To control Omnisphere using the Triton, you’ll need to do the following:

  1. Connect the Triton to your computer’s MIDI interface.
  2. Set up the Triton to control Omnisphere.
  3. Enable the Triton as a MIDI input device in the host software you’re using (DAW, Standalone, etc.).
  4. Activate the Triton Hardware Profile in Omnisphere 3 or later.

Triton SETUP

Omnisphere relies on the default settings of the Triton Realtime Controls while in Program Mode for external control.
Please go through the following steps to configure the knobs on the Triton and enable Program Mode:

  • First, enter “Program Mode” on the Triton by pressing the [PROG] button.
  • Next, press the [GLOBAL] button, navigate to the “MIDI” Page, and make sure the box next to “Enable Control Change” is checked in the MIDI Filter section. This ensures that the Realtime Control knobs are able to transmit MIDI Contorl Change messages out of the Triton to Omnisphere.
  • Lastly, make sure the “Realtime Controls” are set to Bank-A by pressing the [Select] button.

HOST CONNECTION

  • Open your host (DAW, Standalone, etc.) and make sure the Triton is enabled as a MIDI input device.

OMNISPHERE SETUP

  • Open Omnisphere and from the header, select the HW menu button.
  • From the drop-down menu, select “Korg > Korg Triton” to activate the Triton hardware profile.

TROUBLESHOOTING

Not working? Here are some things to try:

  • Is your DAW receiving MIDI from the Triton?
  • Make sure your DAW is configured to correctly route the MIDI output of the Triton to the MIDI channel assigned to the desired part in Omnisphere.
  • If you are using the Omnisphere standalone host, make sure the MIDI output channel on the Triton matches the MIDI channel of the Omnisphere Part you want to control.
