Setup
To control Omnisphere using the UMA25S, you’ll need to do the following:
- Connect the UMA25S to your computer via USB.
- Set up the UMA25S to control Omnisphere.
- Enable the UMA25S as a MIDI input device in the host software you’re using (DAW, Standalone, etc.).
- Activate the UMA25S Hardware Profile in Omnisphere 3 or later.
THE UMA25S SETUP
Omnisphere relies on the default settings of Preset 1 on the UMA25S. Typically, Preset 1 is automatically activated when the UMA25S is turned ON.
- If needed, you can quickly activate Preset 1 by pressing and holding the [PRESET] button then press button [E1] which located below the first knob. After doing so, you should see ‘P1” displayed on the UMA25S.
HOST CONNECTION
- Open your host (DAW, Standalone, etc.) and make sure the UMA25S is enabled as a MIDI input device.
OMNISPHERE SETUP
- - Open Omnisphere and from the header, select the HW menu button.
- - From the drop-down menu, select “Behringer > Behringer UMA25S” to activate the UMA25S Hardware Profile.

TROUBLESHOOTING
Not working? Here are some things to try:
- Is your DAW receiving MIDI from the UMA25S?
- Make sure your DAW is configured to correctly route the MIDI output of the UMA25S to the MIDI channel assigned to the desired part in Omnisphere.
- If you are using the Omnisphere standalone host, make sure the MIDI output channel of the UMA25S matches the MIDI channel of the Omnisphere Part you want to control.
- Are the knobs and faders on the UMA25S sending the correct MIDI CC#s used to control Omnisphere? A simple way to check this is by using MIDI Monitor by Snoize or recording knob movement in your DAW. See the list at the top of the page for the correct MIDI CC#s.
NOTE: If the knobs are sending different MIDI CC#s, you’ll need to edit the preset on the UMA25S. Please refer to the UMA25S User Manual for more details. As a last ditch effort, you can restore the factory default presets on the UMA25S. Please see Page 10 in the UMA25S user manual for restoring factory default presets.
