V25 MK1 SETUP

Omnisphere relies on the factory default settings of the Alesis V25 mk1 for external control.

  • If you have not customized the MIDI CC#s of the knobs on the V25 mk1 using the Alesis V25 Editor then you can move on to the steps under “HOST CONNECTION.”
  • If you have changed the MIDI CC#s assigned to the knobs on the V25 mk1, please use the Alesis V25 Editor to reset the knobs to match the MIDI CC#s at the top of the page.

HOST CONNECTION

  • Open your host (DAW, Standalone, etc.) and make sure the V25 mk1 is enabled as a MIDI input device.

OMNISPHERE SETUP

  • Open Omnisphere and from the header, select the HW menu button.
  • From the drop-down menu, select “Alesis > Alesis V25 mk1” to activate the V25 mk1 Hardware Profile.

TROUBLESHOOTING

Not working? Here are some things to try:

  • Is your DAW receiving MIDI from the V25 mk1?
  • Make sure your DAW is configured to correctly route the MIDI output of the V25 mk1 to the MIDI channel assigned to the desired part in Omnisphere.
  • If you are using the Omnisphere standalone host, make sure the MIDI output channel of the V25 mk1 matches the MIDI channel of the Omnisphere Part you want to control.
