  • Using a MIDI cable, connect the Virus to your MIDI interface.

  • Set up the front panel controls to send MIDI CCs.

  • Make certain your MIDI interface is configured as the input in the host software you’re using (DAW, Standalone, etc.).

  • Activate the Access Virus A Hardware Profile in Omnisphere 2.5 or higher.

Troubleshooting

Not working? Here are some things to try:

  • Is the front panel of the Virus properly set up to send CCs?
  • Is your DAW receiving MIDI from the Virus?
  • If you are using the Omnisphere standalone host, make sure the MIDI output channel of the Virus matches the MIDI channel of the Omnisphere Part you want to control.
  • Make sure your DAW is configured to correctly route the MIDI output of the Virus to the MIDI channel assigned to the desired part in Omnisphere.

As a last resort, you can reset all Global parameters to the factory defaults by doing the following (NOTE: Presting the SINGLE button during this process will erase your custom presets):

  • Turn the unit’s power OFF.
  • Hold down both of the LFO SHAPE 1 and LFO SHAPE 2 buttons while powering the unit ON.
  • Once the unit powers ON, you will be given the option to erase or keep your custom presets.
  • To keep your presets intact but reset Global parameters only, press any button other than SINGLE for each prompt that appears.
