Global MIDI Modes

Kit Mode has three different MIDI Modes. This allows for maximum flexibility when working with incoming MIDI. They are:

KIT CHANNEL 1-8

Each Part responds to a different MIDI Channel.

  • Part 1 = MIDI channel 1
  • Part 2 = MIDI channel 2
  • Part 3 = MIDI channel 3
  • Part 4 = MIDI channel 4
  • Part 5 = MIDI channel 5
  • Part 6 = MIDI channel 6
  • Part 7 = MIDI channel 7
  • Part 8 = MIDI channel 8

KIT CHANNEL 1

All 8 Parts respond to incoming MIDI Channel 1.

KIT CHANNEL 10

All 8 Parts respond to incoming MIDI CH10. This accommodates General MIDI sequences that default to transmitting percussion on CH10.

MIDI INDICATOR LEDS

The part MIDI indicators in the footer will light up when a module is receiving MIDI notes.

NOTE: There are no Trigger Mode options in Kit Mode because RMX always responds immediately to any note commands.
