Sub-Page Buttons

There are six buttons at the top of the FX page. Each one reveals a Sub-Page with it’s own FX Rack. When first visited, the FX Page defaults to the INSERTS sub-page.

INSERTS RACK PAGE

The Insert FX Rack is Part- and Edit Group-specific; each Part and Edit Group has its own INSERTS FX Rack. Each time you create a new Edit Group, a unique INSERT FX Rack is created for that Edit Group.

For example, if a Groove on Part 1 starts only with a “Main” Edit Group, Part 1 will have one INSERT FX Rack. If you assign “Downbeats” and “Backbeats” to their own Edit Groups, then Part 1 will have three INSERT FX Racks. This allows for custom Effects on Downbeats, custom Effects on Backbeats, and custom Effects on all the Slices left in “Main.”

When you switch Parts or Edit Groups, this sub-page displays the FX Rack of the current Part or Edit Group. The audio from a Part or Edit Group is routed through the INSERT FX Rack for that Part or Edit Group.

The final output of the INSERT FX Rack is routed to the corresponding Part fader on the Mixer Page.

AUX RACK PAGES 1~4

These four sub-pages access the four global Aux FX Racks.

Each Aux FX Rack receives audio from the Mixer Page’s Aux Sends.

For example, the AUX1 FX Rack receives its input from the AUX1 send knob, etc.

The final output signal from each AUX FX Rack is routed exclusively to Output A.

NOTE: Since AUX effects are global, there is only one AUX FX Rack per AUX Effect sub-page. The AUX FX Racks are not Part- or Edit Group-specific.

*There are no dedicated AUX returns, but you can control the master level of an AUX return by lowering the gain of the FX Unit in the lowest slot of the AUX Rack. If an FX Unit has no gain control, you can insert an Imager FX Unit after it, adding many useful controls for adjusting the spatial positioning and the gain—just like a dedicated AUX Return on a hardware mixer. MASTER RACK PAGE

All audio inside RMX that is routed to Output A is routed through the global Master FX Rack, so it’s the ideal place to do overall mastering-style processing to an entire mix.

NOTE: There is only one Master (Global) FX Rack and it remains the same regardless of which Part or Edit Group is active. This is why the Edit Group Grill covers the Edit Group area when the Master FX Sub-Page is selected.
