The VALUE DISPLAY is a multi-purpose data display that offers several kinds of real-time feedback.
There are five display modes to choose from:
PARAMETER VALUE, MEMORY, SLICE EDIT GROUP, MIDI CC, and MIDI LEARN.
To switch display modes, click on the display to reveal the drop-down menu.
PARAMETER VALUE DISPLAY MODE
This mode offers real-time parameter-change feedback. When a knob or slider is moved, or a button is clicked, this window reflects that change. Usually, the Value Display will use an appropriate measurement unit for the currently selected parameter. For instance, when moving a volume slider, the Display shows changes in decibels; when changing frequencies, the Display shows Hz; and when changing Envelope parameters, the Display shows milliseconds, etc. If the current parameter does not have a specific value unit that describes it’s change, then the Display shows an incremental change between 0 and 1.
Clicking on a parameter, but not changing it, allows you to view that parameter’s current value.
MEMORY DISPLAY MODE
This mode indicates the total memory RMX is currently using across all Parts.
SLICE EDIT GROUP DISPLAY MODE
In Slice Menu Mode, this option shows which Edit Group in which a particular Slice or Groove belongs. This is a great way to keep track of Slices or Groove Edit Groups when playing a MIDI keyboard.
In Groove Menu Mode, if you’ve Created an Edit Group or made an Edit Group for each Groove in the Suite, this option will show the name of each Groove as it’s played.
MIDI CC DISPLAY MODE
This mode displays information about incoming MIDI controller data: the MIDI Channel number, the MIDI Controller number and MIDI Controller Value.
MIDI LEARN DISPLAY MODE
This mode indicates the MIDI Learn status of a parameter. If a parameter has been Learned, the display reads indicates the MIDI Channel and MIDI Controller Number that control it. Otherwise, the displays “Unassigned.”
