Selecting Layers

To select a Layer and bring its controls into focus, (even if more than one Layer is ON—indicated by LEDs under the Layer tabs or highlighted Layer Selection buttons in the Footer—click on the desired Layer tab or Layer Selection button.

NOTE: If the SWITCH TO LAYER UPON ACTIVATION preference on the System Page is OFF then Layer activation will not cause the Layer page to change to the activated Layer.

Linking Layers

The LINK Button (chain icon) locks the controls of both Layers together and are meant to be used when creating or tweaking Patches. The settings are not saved with the Patch or the session. When enabled, parameter changes made in one Layer will be mirrored in the other. The LINK Button is highlighted in yellow when enabled.

Steps for linking Layers:

• Select a Layer from the desired Layer tab or Layer Selection button.
• Click on the Link Button to establish the link.
  

For example, enabling the LINK Button for Layers A and B and then moving the AMP Envelope sliders on Layer B will cause the AMP Envelope on Layer A to reflect the changes. This useful feature also gives you a quick way to simultaneously set parameters such as TRANSPOSE or FILTER CUTOFF for both Layers.

The Numerical Value popup will indicate you are changing the linked Layers.

NOTE: When Layer-linking is enabled, most of the per-layer parameters are locked together. START, REVERSE, and TIMBRE are NOT linkable, however on the Soundsource Zoom page, USE LEGATO SS and INTERVAL ARE linkable.

The following parameters are NOT linked:

• Per-Layer Level
• Per-Layer Pan
• Per-Layer Soundsource
• Per-Layer ON/OFF
• Per-Layer FX rack
