Control of Omnisphere
Panel Layout
Ease of Use
Build Quality

This popular older Moog model has a simple layout, which makes it very easy-to-use. At first glance it might seem like you don’t have a lot of control over Omnisphere, but you can control two Layers, Filter with Overdrive, Envelopes, and some simple Modulation options. If you feel intimidated by synths with a lot of controls, this is an excellent choice. It’s quite limited compared to others we support, but that’s not always a bad thing. Since it is a mono synth, it has no sustain pedal input and It’s fairly expensive on the used market, but it does have its own sound and it is relatively small and portable.

Moog Slim Phatty Strengths:

  • Simple-to-use
  • Overdrive
  • Classic Feel and Styling
  • Good Build Quality
  • Nice Basic Analog Mono Synth
