The Prophet ’08 is a nice analog polyphonic synth with a simple, yet powerful layout. From its panel you have easy access to several parameters in Omnisphere: Oscillator controls, three Envelopes, four LFOs, and the Mod Matrix. The keyboard has aftertouch and feels really good. It’s been discontinued and replaced by the REV2 (which we also support), but if you don’t need the extra features the REV2 offers (like control over the FX) this is a good choice and can be found at a decent price on the used market.
Sequential Prophet ’08 Strengths:
- Intuitive Layout
- Nice Analog Polyphonic Synth
- Good Build Quality
- Affordable
